The day has finally arrived and I am about 70% confident that I am ready to pass the exam. If you asked me if I was ready to achieve top marks, I would certainly say no, I don’t know everything I need to know to get top marks. I strongly believe that I know enough to pass the Foundation level and for now that’s all I need.
It’s happening in less than an hour from now and I’ve taken four practice exams this morning. Three were over 70% and one was 61%. I’m bothered by the 61% one, but the achievement needed to pass is 55% so I’m still within that at least. My main concern is that all the questions that throw me off could turn up in the actual exam! But after reviewing my results, it seems very unlikely as there are several areas I am very comfortable with and they allocate some questions at least to those.
I’m not sure if I’m any better prepared by the cram course than I was from the pluralsight course, I only took one test before the cram course and one just after I started and both ended up below 70%. Perhaps the cram course has given me a little extra, if nothing else it has given me tests to compare myself against, although I did also buy another test pack!
To be completely honest, I haven’t actually finished either of these courses. I forgot to plan in how much time I would need to rest and absorb the information, so I’m behind on the process parts (which are the areas I’m scoring lowest on). There’s nothing more I can really do now except snack on some fruit and nuts, ensure I’m hydrated and just wait for the exam to begin.
Wish me luck, I’ll be back with the results!
