I Only Wish I Had More Time To Study!

I’m enjoying studying again and I am even enjoying studying maths.

I wrote the other day about how I used to be good at maths, but had fallen behind and given up in my school days, then labelled myself as ‘bad at maths’ thereon.

But being ‘bad at maths’ for me mainly meant, “I can’t be bothered to figure out how to understand it better”. Now that I’m going back over the foundations and making myself comfortable with the exercises, I’m starting to feel like I could be good at it again.

The only downside of all this is that I only have 2 and a half weeks left before the maths-centric exams.

By now, from all I’ve learned about learning itself, I know how important breaks are to the learning process. Unfortunately, with such a short time scale remaining, there isn’t much room for those breaks!

If I’d had this moment months ago, it would be so much better! But here we are.

I won’t let it get me down though, there are only so many hours in the day and I only have so much energy. I’m probably going to make mistakes and face some questions that I just can’t answer when the exams come, but I’m going to do the best I can and I’m coming around to the idea that that’s enough.

I’ve got about 12 chapters in 3 different books to revise, or at least skim. And mock exams I can review. And tutors I can call on if I really need it.

I may even allow myself to imagine doing well!
